Anti-discrimination seminars

The Italian NWP completed a cycle of seminars to raise awareness about the consequences of discrimination in the Region of Abruzzo.  Between April and June the NWP's experts, Andrea Cerase and Stefania De Nicolais, met over 100 representatives from local authorities, associations, law enforcement officers, practitioners, and discussed different ways to react to racist manifestations and hate crimes. During the four meetings the experts presented diverse strategies to report both offline and online hate speech and reported the findings of the research they carried out analyzing over 50 cases of racist symbols and discriminatory expressions.
