“EUROARABIA? NO, THANKS! Let’s stop the Islamisation of Europe and the spread of Islamic extremism. EUROPE TO EUROPEANS!”

The message connects negative ideas against Islam (Islamophobia) with the larger European context. The text is accompanied with visual material (mosques, covered women, moon with a star), perceived as typical symbols of Islam. While the cross in the circle is a Celtic symbol that racist and nationalist groups often use as their symbol, also in Slovenia. In Slovenia Muslims are one of the groups who experience racist discrimination so the message has to be seen in the context of Slovene Islamophobia. The language is racist since it conveys a message against a specific group because of their religion and because they migrate to or live in Europe, which is portrayed as a place supposedly belonging only to “Europeans” and it tries to establish Europeanness as an essentialist category made of specific “European” people. The Islamic immigrants are portrayed as violent and extreme, as a foreign entity, whose coming to Europe is supposedly an artificial and superfluous phenomenon.

Sloganin rasistinen, sillä se asettuu vastustamaan tiettyä ihmisryhmää tämän uskonnon perusteella ja väittää, että ryhmän asettuminen ei ole tämän uskonnon vuoksi hyväksyttyä. Slogan myös pyrkii esittämään eurooppalaisuuden essentialistisena kategoriana, joka koostuu vain “eurooppalaisista” ihmisistä.

A nyelvhasználat egy speciális csoport elleni üzenetet közvetít. A megkülönböztetés alapja részben a vallásuk, másrészt az, hogy a csoport tagjai Európába bevándorló vagy már itt élő külföldiek. A kifejezésben Európa úgy jelenik meg, mint az a hely, ami kizárólag az „európaiaké”, az „európaiságot” viszont kizárólag az európaiaknak létrehozott esszencialista (veleszületett jellemvonásokat hangsúlyozó) kategóriáként próbálja meghatározni.

Il linguaggio è razzista dal momento che trasmette un messaggio contro un gruppo specifico a causa della religione professata e della loro condizione di immigrati che vivono in un’Europa, raffigurata come un luogo che si presume debba appartenere solo agli "europei", che e cerca di affermare l’idea di “europeità” come una da caratteristica essenziale, posseduta unicamente specifiche popolazioni "europee".

Jezik je rasističen, saj vključuje sporočilo uperjeno proti določeni skupini zaradi religije in zato, ker so se bodisi preselili v Evropo bodisi živijo v Evropi, ki se jo upodablja kot prostor, ki pripada zgolj “Evropejcem”. Poleg tega poskuša sporočilo vzpostaviti evropskost kot esencialistično kategorijo, ki označuje le specifične “evropske” ljudi.
